Classy Tailgating In the Northwest

Traveling down Interstate 5 in the great state of Oregon you might just see one of the coolest tailgating vehicles this side of Henry Ford.  Graham Berry and his wife Jennifer operate VIP PDX, which every weekend caters to fans of the Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers and Seattle Seahawks.

VIP PDX is Oregon's premier executive transportation provider.  Located just outside Portland, Oregon, in Lake Oswego, they serve the entire Northwest from the Willamette Valley to Vancouver and Seattle with their executive party bus and fleet of luxury chauffeured cars.

“VIP stands for ‘Very Important Party’ and PDX is Portland's airport code,” says Graham.  “That about sums up our philosophy – anywhere in Washington we will transport very important people, our customers, to where they want to go – all in an upscale and exciting environment.”

The Fun Bus

Frankly, the bus is cool.  Very cool.  “Our guests enjoy tons of onboard amenities including lounge style seating for up to 30 people, four mini fridges/beverage stations, a spacious modern bathroom, three flat screen TV's, DVD/CD Player, iPod compatible sound system, Play Station 2 gaming

system, a professional driver and VIP Host.”

“A VIP host is there as a personal concierge for the group the entire day,” says Graham.  “Of course, the VIP Coach is open the entire game to ‘refuel’ as needed and at most the games we park across the street from the main gates for easy access.  Many of our guests have so much fun on the bus they make it in for the kick-off and then come back out to the bus.”

Like Las Vegas, their unofficial unsaid motto is "What happens on the bus stays on the bus.”

Since the spring of 2007, VIP PDX has been providing their guests with tailgating memories they won’t soon forget.  Their clientele are normally season ticket holders that don't want to drive or want have a designated driver.  “Also, many are businesses enjoy rewarding their employees or clients with a great tailgate and tickets to the game,” says Graham.

“Our caterer has a killer menu for our guests,” says Graham.  “He serves barbecue chicken and ribs as well as potato and macaroni salad, fresh fruit and rolls.  At half time he brings out the hot wings, barbecue meatballs, chips and salsa.  Quite often our clients whip us some of their own special stuff as well.”

It Is Alive

Some might say that the bus has a mind of its own.  “We were pulling up to the University of Oregon last year when my wife got on the microphone and talked to the crowd like she was the bus,” recalls Graham.  “She invited guests onboard for free hot dogs.  It was a hoot!  She kept saying, ‘hello -- you over there in the green and yellow…’ And of course everyone is

wearing green and yellow and no one could figure out where the voice was coming from!”

In addition to football games, VIP PDX does wine tours, weddings, birthdays and brew tours.  “Our primary clients are corporate groups, and they know how to roll,” says Graham.  “Most of all, we like giving people memories of a great day, one they will never forget.  As I like to say, VIP all the way, our VIP Coach is THE place to be on game day!”
