g Hey Tailgaters!
IT’S FOOTBALL SEASON!!! These
are probably three of my most favorite words in the English language.
Say it with me:
IT’S
FOOTBALL
SEASON!!! Woo hoo! Football is
back and that means for those who don’t tailgate over the summer at
races, rock concerts, equestrian events, lacrosse games, Arena Football
and baseball, it’s time once again to gear up and get to the stadium
EARLY. (By the way, if you
don’t tailgate at least one of these other events, you really ought to
get it on next year’s calendar – baby, you don’t know what you’re
missing! But I digress…) With the start of Football season, it’s time to look at the menus
for the year. Hopefully
you’ve already gotten your tailgating gear in shape and purchased new
stocks of charcoal or propane. If
you are still looking for a great recipe to finish off this weekend’s
menu, check out this month’s Recipes
section. We’ve got some
yummy treats that I know you’ll like.
If you don’t find anything that suits your fancy, try our Recipes

classics and new recipes that have been published over the years. This month I want you to spend a few moments looking over our Tip
of Da Month. As
football season kicks-off, we want to start off the season with some
important thoughts around drinking responsibly.
Too often we hear about people being killed by drunken drivers.
As the publisher of your magazine, I do not want to hear about any
of our tailgating family dying in an accident or being responsible for
someone getting hurt or killed because we had too much to drink at the
tailgate. We can tailgate and
have a blast – AND drink responsibly, all at the same time.
So take a few minutes to read this month’s Tip
before you set off on your next tailgate.
